Kidepo Valley National Park
About Kidepo Valley
Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda's most remote and untouched safari destination, located in the rugged Karamoja region in the northeast. Known for its vast golden savannah, dramatic mountain backdrops, and raw wilderness, Kidepo offers one of the most authentic African safari experiences.
The park is home to over 77 mammal species and more than 476 bird species, making it a hotspot for wildlife lovers and birdwatchers. Its seasonal rivers, i.e., Narus and Kidepo, create life-sustaining pools that attract large concentrations of animals during the dry season.
Unlike more crowded parks, Kidepo delivers a quiet, exclusive experience where visitors can see lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and even Uganda's only wild ostriches. Combining with rich cultural encounters with the Karamojong and IK communities, Kidepo stands out as a destination for true adventure and exploration
